In Level 1, you will begin to build the foundation necessary to launch your aesthetic medicine career. This comprehensive, full-day course covers both neurotoxins and dermal fillers. We start with the history and the basics of both toxins and dermal fillers. We then expand to the strategy and necessary techniques. We also cover how to talk to your patient, evaluate your patient, and what to do if a complication arises. This course aims to lay as much of the necessary groundwork as possible. After a morning of the didactic curriculum, we jump into the hands-on portion of the course. The first several models will be evaluated and treated by our trainers, so you have a better understanding of how it works, what it looks like, and what is expected during a treatment. Then, our students each have the opportunity to evaluate and treat their own patients from start to finish under the guidance of one of our expert trainers. This is only the beginning, but you will start your aesthetic career on the right foot, prepared for what’s ahead. Looking for more beginner courses? Check out our 3-Day Ready, Set, Go Program, and add two more days to your training. This all-in-one Medical Aesthetics Training course covers various topics that prepare you for the non-clinical side of injecting, including marketing, social media, human resources, business strategy, contract negotiation, and more. Course Financing is available through PatientFi

What is covered during the Level 1 training?
This private, one-day facial injectables training provides participants with a foundation in neurotoxin and dermal filler use. We will cover all currently available neurotoxins, including Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, Xeomin, and Daxxify. We will also cover all the available hyaluronic-acid based filler products, including Juvéderm, Restylane, Revanesse. The course is split into a didactic and hands-on portion, where we will together prepare and treat patients in our clinic. See the curriculum for a more detailed description of what we will cover.

Who can participate in this training?
This training is available to certified medical professionals, including nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, physicians, and dentists. To participate in the live injection portion of the course, all medical professionals must be licensed to treat patients in the state of Colorado. If you are not licensed in Colorado, you may attend the course as an observer but will be unable to treat patients.
Are there any prerequisites required to attend this training?
No, but we highly recommend that you review facial anatomy in depth as this is really the cornerstone knowledge of any good injector.. In particular, please pay special attention to the muscles, vessels, and fat pads of the face.
Will I be certified to inject after this course?
Though no technical certification is necessary to become an injector, most employers are looking for potential hires to have “certification” from a course like ours. We will provide you with a certificate stating you have been trained in neurotoxins and dermal fillers which will help get you started in your journey.

Of note, if you are a dentist looking to add neurotoxins to your business in Colorado, you will need a certification like ours to order products from pharmaceutical companies.
How many students attend each course?
Right now, we believe that our small class size and high trainer-to-student ratio provide you with a learning opportunity far superior to many of our competitors. This course is currently limited to ten students with at least three trainers per course.

What can I expect during the training?
The course will begin at 7:45 AM and conclude around 6:00 PM, though the end time does vary based on the total number of models being treated. Breakfast, lunch and several coffee/tea breaks will be provided. See the curriculum for a more detailed description of what the day looks like.

Do I inject patients during this training?
Yes. The hands-on portion of this course includes live injections. We believe the complete start-to-finish treatment of a patient is an integral part of your injectables training. Both trainers and students will consult, prepare, and treat their own individual patients during this course. And while this may sound intimidating, don’t be scared. Our expert injectors will personally guide you throughout the entire process.

Do students need to bring their own models?
No. CATI will source models that are comfortable and aware that our students are learning to inject. In addition, we pre-vet all models to ensure they are good injectables candidates before they enter the training. Students can also request to treat specific models connected with our model portal. This is not necessary, but it is encouraged. Treating a familiar face provides the student with a different degree of comfort when performing these procedures for the first time. To submit a model of your own, please have your model email [email protected] and mention your name to be placed and considered as your model.

Are group discounts available?
